LED Lighting over CFL Lighting
For years, there was no alternative to incandescent lighting. With improved technology, fluorescent lighting has become an industrial lighting standard, but traditional fluorescent lighting has recently been replaced by a more energy-efficient compact fluorescent lamp (CFL). CFL devices can produce more light using less energy than a standard incandescent bulb - ultimately leading to cost savings. For example, a 13-watt incandescent bulb can replace a 60-watt incandescent bulb and a 23-watt incandescent bulb can replace a 100-watt incandescent bulb for energy savings of up to $77 for the lifespan of the bulb. Of course, as any business owner or owner knows, energy costs are a major expense that is impossible to eliminate but, with strategic choices, can be maintained. CLFs also have other advantages over incandescent lighting, such as a longer lifespan. For example, some compact fluorescent lamps can last up to 10,000 hours, while the average incandescent bulb burns for only 1,000 h
